Planning for 2024?

Want to plan for 2024?

If you're not used to planning ahead or using a planning calendar it can be a bit of a challenge to start off with.

I've not been good at writing down plans but I've always kept them in my head. Having now progressed to week 5 of my first 12 Week Year, I have discovered the enormous value in having a written plan.

It's visual, it's a reminder of things to come and things that need doing and you can see how you progress with those things that you've done!

A Gift for You...

I have decided to gift my IG OrganiSZer social media planning calendar to anyone who would like to use it.

I have looked at a number of social media planners and most of them consist of one page with a place to write down topics you might want to write social media posts, blogs or newsletters about and another page with blocks on representing either only one week or one month. It's then up to you to make copies for the other weeks or months of the year.

That's OK, but what if you want to plan ahead for 3 months? Then you have to make at least 21 copies if the page is set up for a week, or you have to make three if it's set up for a month and then you've got loose pages lying around that you need to keep a track of.

Ever thought of using a spreadsheet?

I realised that that for me, using a spreadsheet would probably be a better idea as then your file would be stored in one place, you could have one sheet per month and you'd never lose any of the pages.

2024 Planning Calendar

I've created a spreadsheet just like that. It's set up in a diary layout with the days of the week running across the top, so each day is dated correctly for the relevant month and there are a number of lines per day, on which you can make notes about posts you might want to write about or blogs or newsletters you want to get out to your subscribers as well.

You can insert more lines if what I have provided isn't sufficient.

I have also indicated major public holidays such as Christmas and New Year and other days that are celebrated internationally, that might provide inspiration for you to create social media posts about. Obviously for your own country, you can add your own celebrated public holidays.

One sheet per month

I have provided one sheet for every month of the year so you can truly plan ahead for as many months of the year as you'd like.

Use the legend

There is also a colour coding legend for you, so that you can colour code, posts, blogs and newsletters in different colours and if you wanted to distinguish between reels and carousel posts, you can use different colours to do that as well.

There are instructions

I have provided an instruction page at the start which provides ideas for social media posts you might want to write about and why you would write them.
